This course is for anyone in Papua New Guinea who wants to use a phone or computer with more confidence: students, parents, job seekers, farmers, church and youth leaders, and small business owners. It starts from zero and builds up to helping your whole community go digital.
- Basic: the parts and settings of phones and computers, how mobile data works and what it costs, and how to set up and use email properly.
- Intermediate: organising and backing up files in the cloud, spotting and reporting online scams, and using free tools such as Google Docs, Sheets and Forms.
- Advanced: understanding SevisPass digital ID and government online services, digital citizenship and lessons from the 2025 Facebook disruption, and teaching family and community members.
You need a smartphone (Android or iPhone) with some data, or access to a computer, plus a notebook. Lessons are designed for limited data and use real PNG examples. Information on digital ID, draft laws and data prices is accurate as of November 2026; always confirm the latest details with DICT, NICTA and your mobile operator.
